How Hash works
Ground rules
What Hash is — and isn’t
Hangouts are not the hire
Live rooms and Campus chats never set Offer or Passed. Recruiters run the fair process in their ATS; Hash mirrors progress levels only.
Identity stays masked until shortlist
In hangouts, display names stay aliased until a recruiter shortlists or stars you. Prefer Apply for contact details.
Skills over pedigree
Match ranks with skill, experience, and career weights. School is not a scored signal.
US tech hiring only
Seekers confirm a US region. Recruiters verify a company before posting roles.
For job seekers
Find roles, match, meet live

Sign in → - 2
Save your profile and resume
Upload a resume and career details so matching and hangout ranking have something to work with.
My profile → - 3
Browse jobs or run Match
Filter the marketplace, or rank open roles from your resume. Apply opens the company’s apply link after Hash records interest.
Job marketplace → - 4
Join live hangouts
When a recruiter turns the hangout light on, join from Live. You may need approval before you enter the room.
Who’s hiring live → - 5
Campus (students / new grads)
Browse university rooms, apply to join, then enter after a recruiter approves you. Live hours may include a Google Meet.
Campus → - 6
Track hiring progress
Applications show Applied → Trial → Interview → Offer. Levels mirror the company process — Hash does not make the hire.

For recruiters
Post, review, hang out — then hire in your ATS
- 1
Verify your company
YC / auto-approve lists can clear instantly. Otherwise we check your website. US region is required to post.
Company profile → - 2
Post a job
Add title, apply link, and optional hangout light. Listings stay live for 30 days.
Post a job → - 3
Review applicants with your weights
Set skill / experience / career scoring defaults. AI review ranks applicants for each role — not a hiring decision.
Live board → - 4
Approve hangout access
Candidates request room access. Approve, boot, or schedule a live hour with Google Meet. Identity stays masked until shortlist.
Room access → - 5
Campus rooms for new grads
Create university hangouts, review student profiles, and run optional live hours.
Campus → - 6
Mirror progress — hire in your ATS
Set Applied → Trial → Interview → Offer so candidates see their level. Run offers and passes in your ATS, not in the hangout.
